The Power You Wield

This post isn’t much larger than something I’d put up on Twitter, but it deserves it’s own post.  Today alone I have witnessed the overwelming cutness my daughter Kari posesses.  When she’s tired she likes to have a pacifier and secuirty blanket to comfort her.  We call these binkies and wambies.  Now that’s something kinda silly to say when you think about it.  But today I heard 3 different adults say binkie and wambie when talking about Kari.  Two years ago no one in my circle of family and friends knew what these things were, but now it’s part of their nomal vocabulary.

While I was at lunch today my student workers turned everything on my desk upside down. Including my display. Which, let me tell you, was a pain to get rotated back when everything your mouse does is upside down. And they were very thorough. You can’t see it in this photo, but not only was the top of my desk upended, but everything in my drawers and the contents of my wallet.
